New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for Italy on Thursday to attend the G-7 conference. This is the Prime Minister’s first foreign visit in his third term. On the invitation of Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, Prime Minister Modi is going to Apulia, Italy on June 14 to participate in the G-7 Outreach Summit.
During his day-long visit, PM Modi will be participating in a summit session entitled Artificial Intelligence, Energy, Africa-Mediterranean to be hosted by Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni and joined by Pope Francis. The Pope is also expected to hold bilateral talks with PM Modi, who has a series of meetings scheduled with the world leaders on the sidelines of the summit being held at the luxury resort of Borgo Egnazia.
In Italy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also hold bilateral talks with PM Georgia Meloni. According to the information, PM Modi can meet US President Joe Biden on the sidelines of G-7. The ongoing war in Ukraine and the conflict in Gaza are expected to dominate the G-7 summit to be held in Italy from June 13 to 15.
