In a grand event held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi actively participated in the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation. Accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and state BJP President CR Paatil, PM Modi received a warm welcome from thousands of cooperative dairy union members who gathered from across the state.
During the celebration, PM Modi inaugurated several projects amounting to Rs 1,200 crore, marking a significant investment in the development of the cooperative sector. The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, notably known for its flagship brand Amul, is set to make substantial strides with plans to invest Rs 11,500 crore in the next 2-2.5 years, as outlined in MoUs signed at the World Food India event in November last year.
The festivities included cultural programs, with women dancers adding vibrancy to the Golden Jubilee celebrations. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel addressed the cooperative dairy union members, emphasizing the crucial role they play in the state’s development.
PM Modi, in his address to the cooperative dairy members, highlighted the paramount contribution of women to the country’s dairy cooperative movement. The event drew participation from over 1.25 lakh dairy farmers, representing around 18,600 villages in Gujarat, creating a memorable and impactful celebration of the cooperative’s 50-year journey.
