PM Modi remembered Atal Bihari Vajpayee by tweeting. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted on this occasion. In this tweet, he wrote, ‘Today, on the occasion of Atal ji’s death anniversary, I will pay tribute to him along with 140 crore people of the country. India benefited a lot from his leadership. He has played an important role in promoting the progress of our country and taking it into the 21st century in many fields.’

On the occasion of the 5th death anniversary, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and many BJP leaders and Union Ministers paid tribute to the former Prime Minister. President Draupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar paid tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee at his mausoleum. Formally the leaders of the alliance have also been called. During this, leaders of NDA constituents are also present.
A BJP leader and former prime minister of the country, Vajpayee is credited with popularizing the party beyond his base and successfully running a coalition government for six years, during which he pushed through reforms and boosted infrastructure. He died in 2018 at the age of 93.
