Nagpur: PM Modi on Sunday inaugurated the first phase of the Nagpur Metro Rail Project and bought a ticket to ride the Metro from Freedom Park to Khapri. PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of the second phase of the rail project to be developed at a cost of more than Rs 6700 crore. During this, PM Modi was warmly welcomed by playing drums. Even the PM could not stop himself after seeing the drumming and went to play the drum himself.

PM Modi has also inaugurated the first phase of Nagpur Metro. During this, the PM also traveled in the metro. Congratulating the people of Nagpur, he wrote, “I would like to congratulate the people of Nagpur on the inauguration of the first phase of Nagpur Metro. Flagged off two metro trains and also took a ride on the metro. Metro is comfortable and convenient. Along with this, PM Modi has also shared pictures of “interesting conversation in Nagpur Metro”.

The PMO said in a statement that PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of the second phase of the Nagpur Metro. Along with this, after participating in many programs, the Prime Minister will go to Goa. Officials said Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar finalized the security arrangements under which around 4,000 personnel would be deployed and they would be assisted by Quick Response Teams, Riot Control Police and Home Guards.
