New York: PM Modi US Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting America for the sixth time in 9 years. This visit of PM Modi is special because PM Modi has gone on a state visit to America for the first time on the invitation of US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. PM Modi will be in America from June 21 to June 24 morning.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Washington from New York. His state visit has started from here. PM Modi was welcomed by giving a guard of honor at Joint Base Andrews in Washington DC. During this, the tune of the national anthems of India and America was also played. Thousands of people from the Indian community had also gathered outside the airport. They raised slogans of ‘Modi-Modi’.
After meeting PM Modi, America’s First Lady Jill Biden said that our relationship is not just about governments. We’re celebrating the families and friendships that span the globe, that feel the connection between our two countries… The US-India partnership runs deep and wide as we jointly tackle global challenges.
PM Modi met CEOs of top companies in Washington. It includes Sanjay Mehrotra, CEO of Micron, CEO of GE, Lawrence Culp Jr., and Gary Dickerson, CEO of Applied Materials.
After this PM Modi and US President Joe Biden will meet. Then PM Modi will have an intimate dinner i.e. family dinner with Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. Dinner will be at 4 in the morning according to Indian time.
On the occasion of International Yoga Day on 21st June, a special program was organized in the Garden of North Lawn of UN. It was led by PM Modi. A world record was made here in the presence of PM.
While addressing the Yoga program, PM Modi explained the meaning of Yoga. PM said- ‘Yoga means Unite. It is free from patents, copyrights and royalties. Everyone can do it.
On Thursday, PM Modi will attend the state dinner hosted by US President Joe Biden and his family at the White House. He will also be given a guard of honor at the White House. Under this, a salute of 21 guns will be given. Later, PM Modi will hold a bilateral meeting with Joe Biden in the Oval Office.
On Thursday evening, PM Modi will address the joint meeting of the US Parliament Congress. This will be the PM’s second address to a joint meeting of the US Congress. Earlier he had addressed in 2016.
PM Modi met Tesla CEO Elon Musk in New York on Wednesday morning. After this meeting, PM Modi tweeted- ‘It was great meeting you Elon Musk. We had multifaceted talks on issues ranging from energy to spirituality.
PM Modi’s mega show will be on the last day of his visit i.e. 23 June. When PM Modi will address an invitational gathering of diaspora leaders from across the country at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington DC.
