The Rs 850 crore Mahakaleshwar Temple Corridor Development Project would offer the best amenities and a smooth, divine experience to all who visit the shrine.

The Mahakaleshwar Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva, is significant because it houses one of India’s 12 Jyotirlingas.

The more than 900-meter-long corridor will contain 200 statues and murals of Lord Shiva and the goddess Shakti, as well as about 108 visually beautiful pillars. From the temple’s entrance, 93 Shiva statues depicting Shiv Puran tales may be seen. Each statue or mural has a QR code. Scan the code and receive all the information about it.

Every year, almost 1.5 crore people can visit the temple. This is anticipated to double following the project, which will be executed in two parts.

Mahakal Lok will boost religious tourism; apart from this, it is expected to create a lot of job opportunities that would support the local economy. It will set a precedent for other cities of religious importance and serve as a model.

PM Modi will pray at the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlings before launching the corridor project. After that, he is expected to address a public gathering.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, assessed the project’s progress on Sunday. Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra predicted that the inauguration would be a noteworthy occasion.
