Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to LG VK Saxena of Delhi as soon as he reached the capital from a three-day visit to France and UAE. During this telephonic conversation, he discussed the flood-like situation in Delhi due to rise in the water level of Yamuna river. Also asked about the steps taken so far to curb it. Several parts of Delhi are waterlogged after heavy rains. The water level of Yamuna has reached above the danger mark. It is another matter that a drop in the water level of the river was observed on Saturday. Even when the Prime Minister was in France, he talked to Home Minister Amit Shah and took details of the flood-like situation in Delhi.
On the other hand, LG Delhi VK Saxena tweeted that PM Modi called as soon as he reached home and took a detailed account of the flood situation in Delhi and took complete information about the efforts being made. He has directed to do every possible work in the interest of the people with the cooperation of the Center and the State.
