Lucknow: Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh (UP) and senior BJP leader Kalyan Singh passed away last night at around 9.15 pm. Kalyan Singh was 89 years old, he breathed his last in Lucknow after a long illness. Ever since the sad news came to light, the process of paying tribute to him continues. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reaching Lucknow for the last glimpse of Kalyan Singh.
PM’s visit to Lucknow
There is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire Bharatiya Janata Party due to the news of the death of a senior party leader. All party leaders, including the Prime Minister, Home Minister and Union Transport Minister, have paid tribute to Kalyan Singh while narrating their experiences. In this connection, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leaving for Lucknow, which will reach Lucknow at 9:35 am.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will also reach Lucknow
Meanwhile, there is news that the country’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will also reach Lucknow to pay his last respects and tributes. It is worth mentioning that Rajnath Singh has also been a former Chief Minister of UP and represents his party from Lucknow itself.
Kalyan Singh was admitted on 4 July. He died on Saturday night due to prolonged illness and non-functioning of many organs. His last rites will be performed on 23 August at the Ghat of Ganga in Narora.
