Odisha : Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a significant visit to Odisha, unveiling projects with a cumulative value of Rs 68,400 crore. The inauguration included the new campus of IIM-Sambalpur, marking a milestone in the state’s educational landscape. PM Modi, joined by CM Naveen Patnaik, Governor Raghubar Das, and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, inaugurated the projects aimed at fostering development and connectivity in the region.

Infrastructure Boost: PM Modi also unveiled a series of infrastructure projects worth Rs 68,000 crore, spanning crucial sectors like power, roads, and railways. These developments are poised to contribute significantly to the overall progress and connectivity of Odisha.
Connectivity Enhancement: The prime minister flagged off the Puri-Sonepur-Puri weekly express, a move expected to enhance connectivity in the region. Improved transport links play a pivotal role in facilitating economic and social development.
Heritage Building Dedication: PM Modi dedicated the Jharsuguda Head Post Office Heritage Building to the nation, recognizing and preserving historical landmarks.
Addressing a public meeting at Remed Ground, PM Modi expressed the significance of the day for the development journey of Odisha. He lauded the people of Odisha for their proactive involvement in the state’s progress, with developmental projects worth approximately Rs. 70,000 crore dedicated to their welfare.
