On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his heartfelt appeal to the voters in Chhattisgarh and Mizoram, as these two states embarked on the process of electing members for their respective legislative assemblies in the Assembly Elections 2023. In his address to the voters in Chhattisgarh, PM Modi emphasized the significance of participating in the auspicious festival of democracy and encouraged them to exercise their voting rights, especially in the first round of polls. He also extended his felicitations to the first-time voters, recognizing their role in shaping the democratic process.

Furthermore, PM Modi called upon the citizens of Mizoram to turn out in large numbers to cast their votes. He placed a particular emphasis on the younger and first-time voters, urging them to actively participate in the electoral process and contribute to the strengthening of the festival of democracy.

The polling process was underway on Tuesday, with voters in Chhattisgarh exercising their electoral rights for 20 out of the 90 seats in the state’s legislative assembly. Simultaneously, all 40 seats of the Mizoram assembly were also up for grabs in the elections. The participation of citizens in these elections plays a pivotal role in shaping the democratic landscape of the two states.
