The final leg of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s three-day tour of Europe is about to be completed. He had extensive discussions with the leaders about trade and other issues.

PM Modi meets Iceland’s PM
PM Modi held talks with the PM of Iceland, Katrín Jakobsdóttir. Both leaders discussed boosting ties in areas like trade, energy, fisheries and more.
Modi holds bilateral talks with Swedish PM
On the sidelines of the India-Nordic summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Swedish PM Magdalena Andersson held bilateral talks.
According to the MEA, the two leaders reviewed the progress made in their bilateral partnership. They also expressed satisfaction at the progress made by the Lead IT initiative.
This was an India-Sweden joint global initiative to set up a Leadership Group on Industry Transition (LeadIT) in September 2019 at the UN Climate Action Summit to help guide the world’s heaviest greenhouse gas (GHG) emitting industries towards a low-carbon economy.
Modi holds talks with Norwegian PM
Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral talks with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr in Copenhagen, Denmark to talk about “ways to deepen developmental cooperation.”
Boosting friendship with Norway.
According to the MEA, both PMs reviewed ongoing bilateral activities and discussed future areas of cooperation. Discussions also took place on regional and global developments. As members of the UN Security Council, India and Norway have been engaging with each other in the UN on global issues of mutual interest.
Earlier, PM Modi held talks with German Chancellor Scholz in Berlin. After one-on-one talks, both leaders sat down for the sixth round of Biennial Inter Governmental Consultations (IGC). Both nations signed nine agreements that covered a range of issues, including green energy, sustainable development, hydrogen task force, and forest landscape restoration, among others.
On the second day of his European visit, PM Modi met with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and held talks on a wide range of topics, including the India-EU Free Trade Agreement and Green Strategic Partnership. PM Modi also interacted with the Indian diaspora in Berlin and Copenhagen.
PM Modi will conclude his European visit by holding talks with French President Emmanuel Macron during a stopover in Paris.
