PM Narendra Modi leaves for his first visit to Egypt after his “historic” state visit to the US

The Prime Minister left for Cairo, the capital of Egypt after concluding his state visit to America. He is visiting Egypt at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for Egypt’s capital Cairo after finishing his tour of America. This is PM Modi’s first visit to Egypt. During this he will visit the Heliopolis War Memorial and pay homage to the martyred Indian soldiers. It is a memorial to about 4000 Indian soldiers who died in Egypt and Palestine in the First World War. PM Modi is going to Cairo at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

PM Modi will also visit the Al Hakeem Mosque, which was renovated with the help of the Bohra community. Explain that during the visit to Egypt, Prime Minister Modi will also interact with the ‘India Unit’, which was formed in March after the Egyptian President returned from his visit to India. Many high-level ministers are involved in this unit.

Prime Minister Modi will hold bilateral talks with President El Sisi of Egypt. There will be discussion on strengthening relations between the two countries and increasing cooperation in new areas of business and economic cooperation. Some MoUs will also be signed during this.

Let us tell you that the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, attended the Republic Day celebrations as the chief guest. At the same time he had invited Prime Minister Modi to visit Egypt. Defense and strategic ties between India and Egypt have deepened over the years. The armies of both the countries had conducted the first joint exercise in January this year.
