Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a significant visit to Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand, where he will partake in religious rituals at Parvati Kund, engage with local residents and security forces, and inaugurate several development projects valued at around ₹4,200 crore.

PM Modi expressed the government’s unwavering commitment to the welfare and rapid development of Uttarakhand. He stated, “To further accelerate this momentum, I will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for numerous projects in Pithoragarh.”

The Prime Minister’s itinerary includes a visit to Gunji village, where he will interact with the local population and explore an exhibition showcasing the region’s art and products. He will also meet with the dedicated personnel of the Army, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and the Border Roads Organisation (BRO).

PM Modi’s spiritual journey will take him to Parvati Kund, where he will seek blessings from the holy Adi-Kailash, a place renowned for its spiritual significance and natural beauty. He will then proceed to Jageshwar Dham in Almora district, known for its stone temples, situated at an altitude of approximately 6,200 feet.

The pinnacle of the visit is anticipated in Pithoragarh, where, at around 2:30 PM, the Prime Minister will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, and lay the foundation stone for various development projects. These projects span multiple sectors, including rural development, roads, power, irrigation, drinking water, horticulture, education, health, and disaster management, among others.

Among the anticipated projects are the inauguration of 76 rural roads and 25 bridges under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), as well as the unveiling of 15 new buildings for Block Development Offices (BDO) in nine districts, bolstering the administrative infrastructure. The visit not only has spiritual significance but also represents a commitment to the comprehensive development of the region.
