Police arrest three students for performing stunts with sharp weapons on train in Chennai

Three college students were arrested after being caught on camera performing stunts on a train in Chennai while wielding sharp weapons.

Chennai: Three college students were arrested after being caught on camera performing stunts on a train in Chennai while wielding sharp weapons, according to a tweet from the Divisional Railway Manager. A video of the students having sharp weapons in their hands went viral on social media a few days ago.

The culprits have been identified as Anbarasu and Ravichandran from Gummidipoondi, and Arul from Ponneri. It is a coincidence that all students study at Presidency College.

“We would like to let you know that we have a zero tolerance for any misbehaviour or risky acts on trains or in railway premises,” the DRM tweeted later. Please come forward to report them to @rpfsrmas or @grpchennai. We are deeply concerned about the security of our commuters.

The event took place on October 9 and frightened the public, and some even became concerned, after the group even slammed a machete into the train’s coach.

According to sources, the young people who performed the dangerous and illegal stunt were the ones who recorded the video and published it.

There have been numerous occurrences of this kind of event in Chennai these days, and commuters frequently complain to the authorities about the identical actions of college students.
