Patna: The incident involving stone pelting on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s convoy in Patna on Sunday has been taken seriously. Police have so far arrested 13 people in connection with the event.
A mob attacked the CM’s carcade at Sohgi village in Gaurichak on the Patna-Gaya route, which led to the damage of windows of three or four vehicles of the CM’s carcade.
The incident occurred at 5 pm. At that time, the CM’s security personnel were present in the car, which was on the way to Gaya the day before the CM’s visit on Monday.
CM Nitish Kumar will be in Gaya on Monday, August 22 to inspect several projects, including a rubber dam being built there. He will also chair a high-level meeting regarding the drought situation in the district.
The Bihar CM is set to land in Gaya on a chopper and vehicles that were part of his carcade that left a day earlier for his local movement in Gaya.
As per the Patna DM, Chandrashekhar Singh, an angry mob blocked the Patna-Gaya road after the recovery of the body of a youth who had been missing for the last two-three days.
After the incident, police personnel reached the spot and dispersed the crowd. A case was filed against 15 people, and among them, 13 have been arrested.
