The eyewitness to the Sultanpuri death case, Nidhi, was detained in a drug smuggling case back in 2020 and was released on bail. She was riding pillion on Anjali’s scooter when a car struck them.
Nidhi was detained on December in 2020, in a case filed in Agra Cantt under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (1985).
On December 6, 2020, the Government Railway Police (GRP) in Agra detained Nidhi along with her two aides, Sameer and Ravi Kumar, with 30 kg of ganga and then imprisoned them.
Agra Railway SP Mushtaq Ahmed, said that Nidhi was the ganja supplier.
A 20-year-old woman died in the early hours of January 1 after being dragged by a car for around 12 kilometres.
It was discovered during the investigation that Nidhi was seated on the two-wheeler that Anjali was driving. Anjali, who became trapped under the car in the collision, had to be carried from Sultanpuri in Delhi to Kanjhawala. Nidhi ran away from the spot after receiving minor injuries.
Nidhi responded that she was afraid and walked back home when asked why she did not tell the police. “I gave up all hope.” I was simply thinking about returning home. “I thought the men in the car would stop and assist her.”
Nidhi stated that the men who were inside the car could hear her screams, but they did not stop.
