Haryana police nabbed four suspected ‘Khalisthani‘ terrorists in Karanal. Security personnel seized a huge number of weapons, arms, and ammunition from them that had been delivered to them through drones.
After the investigation, police have identified all four suspected terrorists. They are named Gurpreet, Amandeep, Parminder, and Bhupinder, and they belong to Punjab.
Security forces have confiscated a pistol and 21 live cartridges, including three IEDs and a.30 calibre pistol from them. The weapons were air-dropped using a drone by Khalistani terrorist Harjinder Singh Rinda from Pakistan in Ferozepur district, an official said.
Police get a tip-off
The police got a tip-off about all four ‘Khalistani terrorists’ by the central forces. It seems they have links with the Pakistani agency, Inter-Services Intelligence, or ISI.
Preliminary investigation revealed that one of the accused, Gurpreet, admitted that they got the weapon consignment from Pakistan through drones at the behest of Rinda. Police are busy accumulating information regarding a large number of arms and ammunition.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that a thorough investigation is being carried out by the police. “The accused were caught with explosives as they were transiting via Haryana. “Police are conducting a thorough investigation,” he said.
All the terrorists were planning to reach Nanded Sahib (Maharashtra) from Ferozepur. Police arrested all four accused near Bastara toll plaza in Karnal, Haryana. Cops confiscated their vehicle, a Toyota Innova, which was loaded with sacks filled with weapons.
Security personnel believe that all four terrorists were planning to attack heavily. The incident has put Karnal city on high alert. Senior police officers and administration are monitoring the situation minutely.
Later, all the four suspected terrorists were taken to Madhuban police station, where they are being probed.
