Police recover cash worth Rs 1.3 cr, 4 kg silver jewellery in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh: On Tuesday, an official said that Police have recovered cash worth Rs 1.3 crore and four kg silver from Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh. He also said that the cash and jewellery were recovered from a car spotted on the national highway on Monday.

Madhya Pradesh: On Tuesday, an official said that Police have recovered cash worth Rs 1.3 crore and four kg silver from Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh. He also said that the cash and jewellery were recovered from a car spotted on the national highway on Monday.

About this incident, in-charge of the Naya Abadi police station Varun Tiwari said, “A car was spotted on National Highway 47 in the evening. There were three passengers in the car, two men and a woman… We have recovered around Rs 1.3 crore in cash and 4 kg silver… investigation is on…”

Ahead of the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections on April 26 and after the first round of polling on Friday for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections the recovery of cash came.

According to the Election Commission, Madhya Pradesh recorded 67.08 per cent polling in the first phase of polling for six parliamentary seats. Polling for the six parliamentary seats – Sidhi, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat and Chhindwara – was held on Friday.

According to the Election Commission, of the six seats, Chhindwara recorded 79.18 per cent polling in the first phase, followed by 73.18 per cent in Balaghat, 72.49 per cent in Mandla, 63.73 per cent in Shahdol, 60.52 per cent in Jabalpur and 55.19 per cent in Sidhi. Voting for the Lok Sabha in Madhya Pradesh will be held in four phases, with the next three phases on April 26, May 7 and May 13.

Counting of votes is scheduled for June 4. Madhya Pradesh has a total of 29 Lok Sabha constituencies, making it the sixth largest state in terms of sending members to the lower house. Of these, 10 seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates, while the remaining 19 are unreserved.
