Mumbai: Rebel leaders of the Shiv Sena, led by Thane strongman Eknath Shinde, have troubled  the political scenario in Maharashtra. The MAV government led by Uddhav Thackeray may be unseated. Therefore, like in cricket, uncertainty always looms in the political gallery.

Some loyalists of the Shiv Sena have been in touch with rebellions, asking them to return to the camp. Will this talk help to save the current government of the state? In fact, the coming days will reveal everything.

Eknath Shinde, who has been leading the revolt against the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray, never made his reservations about the MVA government public nor let his discontentment show in the last 2-3 years.

However, insiders said he was not happy with the coalition government and expressed his frustration due to its shortcomings. Shinde was assigned to key departments like urban development and public undertakings.

Shiv Sena’s debacle in the RS and MLC polls this month escalated the fear of revolt, which has now become reality. In the recently held RS and MLC elections, smaller parties and independents came out in support of the BJP. The MLC results revealed that trouble has been brewing in the MVA government in Maharashtra.

Shinde stated a few weeks ago that the Shiv Sena must consider forming an alliance with the BJP because a local body election is approaching and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are not far away.

Shinde’s firm belief in Hindutva demonstrated that the Sena’s core vote bank of Hindu and Maharashtrian voters had shrunk as a result of an alliance with different ideological parties, the Congress and the NCP.He is a key member who can muster resources such as manpower and finance for the party.

Besides this, Shinde was not satisfied by the meddling of several Sena ministers in his departments. His department’s secretaries and IAS officers had no power to sign any files without the permission of the CMO.

Dozens of party MLAs had to stand in a queue at Shinde’s office for funds, but he was kept away from the distribution of funds. He was not part of the decision-making process for the RS and MLC polls, “reported by Shinde camp functionary.

The party has given special importance to the CM’s son and environment minister, Aaditya Thackeray, and Yuva Sena. During the MLC polls, Yuva Sena was given key assignments. Sanjay Raut’s presence in the party has been getting stronger. It seems he is running the party. Raut was in charge of setting the Shiv Sena’s agenda on a daily basis. Lack of access to CM Uddhav Thackeray is another reason that led to the rebellion in the party.
