Prashant kishor quits as Punjab Govt Advisor said ‘I want a break’

Punjab: Election strategist Prashant Kishor has resigned from the post of Principal Advisor to Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh from Punjab. Prashant Kishor said in a letter to Amarinder that I want a temporary break from active politics in public life.

Therefore, I cannot take the responsibility of your post of Principal Advisor. I am yet to decide what to do in future. Therefore, I request you to relieve me from this post. Prashant Kishor said that thank you for choosing me for this post.

Prashant Kishor has resigned at a time when assembly elections are due in Punjab next year. In March this year, Amarinder Singh made Kishor his principal advisor. This information was given by the CM by tweeting. In this he wrote – Prashant Kishor has joined as my principal advisor. Will work with him for the betterment of the people of Punjab.

In the past, Prashant Kishor was seen very active. He also had a meeting with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. After this a meeting of Congress was held, in which the meeting of Rahul and PK was mentioned and the possibilities of entry of Prashant Kishor in Congress were discussed.

This meeting was held on 22 July, in which big leaders like Kamal Nath, Mallikarjun Kharge, Anand Sharma, Ajay Maken, KC Venugopal, Ambika Soni attended. According to the conclusion that came out in the meeting, PK’s coming to the party can prove beneficial but his role should be decided. Looking at the way PK’s journey with JDU, Congress can draw a line about his role here.

Another leader who attended the meeting had said, ‘This is the time when new ideas, strategies should be brought. If Prashant Kishor is brought to the party, there will be no harm, how he will come can be discussed. Congress has a lot of talent, if something changes for the better then we should learn.’
