New Delhi: President Draupadi Murmu will inaugurate several development projects on his three-days tour of Tripura on Wednesday. Officials said that the President is a program to reach Maharaja Beer Bikram Airport at 11 pm on Wednesday. After becoming the President, Murmu's Tripura will be the first visit.

During this time, Guwahati-Kolkata Express train up to Murmu Agartala and Agartala-Jiribam-Agartala Jan Shatabdi will be flagged off with new Vistadome bogie up to Khongsang (Manipur). Jan Shatabdi train has been expanded. The President is also scheduled to lay the foundation stone of Pushbanta Palace Museum and National Law University at Narsinghgarh in West Tripura district.
On the same day, she will virtually inaugurate an MLA Hostel at the Capital Complex in Agartala and lay the foundation stones for various Tripura government projects related to roads, schools and hostels for students. The state government plans to convert the Pushbanta Palace, built by Maharaja Birendra Kishore Manakya Bahadur in 1917, into a digital museum.
Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore stayed in this palace during his visit to Tripura. Pushbanta Palace was the official residence of the Governor till April 2018. She will also launch the Maharaja Birendra Kishore Manikya Museum and Cultural Centre at Agartala and IIT-Agartala from the Rabindra Sata Barshiki Bhawan. Later, she will attend a civic reception to be hosted by the government of Tripura at the Town Hall in Agartala.
Murmu will be welcomed by the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) at the Town Hall, where Chief Minister Manik Saha, Mayor Deepak Majumdar and cabinet ministers will be present. The President also plans to meet leaders, dignitaries and the general public.
The President will virtually inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for various projects of the union ministries of electronics and information technology and health and family welfare, and the government of Assam, On Thursday at IIT Guwahati. On the same day The President will attend a civic reception and a cultural program at the Assam Administrative Staff College in Guwahati.
On the last day, President Murmu will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various projects of the Government of Assam and the Union Ministries of Road Transport and Highways, Petroleum and Natural Gas and Railways. These include the launch of model Anganwadi centers with modern facilities, the inauguration of Indian Oil Corporation Limited’s rail-fed petroleum storage depot at Mission Saubhagya, Moinarband, Silchar and two highway projects.
India President Murmu will lay the foundation stone of 100 model secondary schools in tea garden areas of Assam, two highway projects and a modern cargo-cum-coaching terminal at Aghori in Guwahati and will flag off a train from Guwahati to Lumding. Shokhuvi in Nagaland and Mandipathar in Meghalaya.
