President Droupadi Murmu arrives in London to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral

About 2000 guests from around the world will attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain. In which the heads of states of all countries, members of the royal family, politicians, industrialists and prominent personalities from other fields are included.

New Delhi: President Draupadi Murmu has reached Britain to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain. She has gone to attend the state funeral on behalf of the Government of India. Where she will attend the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey on 19 September. President Murmu is on a three-day visit to the UK, during which she will join King Charles and scores of other world leaders and royals from around the world for a reception on Sunday evening ahead of the grand state funeral for Elizabeth on Monday.

“President Droupadi Murmu emplanes for London, United Kingdom, to attend the state funeral of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II and offer condolences on behalf of the Government of India,” the Rashtrapati Bhavan tweeted as the plane departed from Delhi earlier.

About 2000 guests from around the world will attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain. In which the heads of states of all countries, members of the royal family, politicians, industrialists and prominent personalities from other fields are included. According to reports, Westminster Abbey has a seating capacity of about 2,000 people, so selected heads of state from around the world and one or two guests have been invited to attend the funeral.

Members of royal families of all countries will also attend the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II to be held on 19 September. Including King Naruhito of Japan and Empress Masako. It is also unique because no king of Japan has ever attended anyone’s funeral. Apart from this, King William Alexander of the Netherlands, Queen Maxima and Crown Prince Beatrix, King Philip of Belgium, King Harald V of Norway, Queen Margaret of Denmark and Prince Albert of Monaco will also arrive in Britain to attend the funeral.

At the same time, US President Joe Biden and his wife Jill Biden, French President Emmanuel Mancro, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albenis will also visit Britain. Apart from this, the heads of state of Turkey, Israel and all the Commonwealth countries will also attend this state funeral.

However, there are some countries which have not been invited to attend this state funeral. Russia, Belarus, North Korea and Myanmar are prominent in this list. After Russia’s attack on Ukraine, Britain has imposed a travel ban on Russian President Vladimir Putin. After not receiving an invitation to attend the funeral, the Russian Foreign Ministry has called it blasphemy and completely wrong.
