Hundreds of heads of state are expected to attend the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. This day has been declared a public holiday in Britain. US President Joe Biden will also attend the Queen’s funeral. Apart from these, French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will also visit London.

The mortal remains of Britain’s late Queen Elizabeth reached London from Scotland on Tuesday evening. His coffin will be kept at Buckingham Palace for the last night. The Queen’s coffin will be kept at Westminster Hall for four days from Wednesday and will be cremated on Monday.

The Queen died last Thursday at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle. She was ruling Britain for 70 years. When the Queen’s coffin was sent from Edinburgh Airport for London, the national anthem was played there. The Queen’s coffin was accompanied by her daughter Princess Anne, who had come from Edinburgh to London on a Royal Air Force (RAF) plane. The plane from which the Queen’s coffin was brought has been used in the past for humanitarian aid.

The Queen’s coffin was taken by road to Buckingham Palace in central London as soon as the plane landed at the RAF’s Northhalt air base in west London. King Charles III, who was visiting Northern Ireland on Tuesday, had already arrived at the royal residence with his wife Camilla to receive the coffin. Before the coffin reached London and sent to Buckingham Palace, there was a guard of salute from the RAF.
