United States: Cyber ​​security has risen to the top of the Biden administration’s agenda after a series of high-profile attacks.
President Joe Biden warned Tuesday that if the United States ends up in a “genuine shooting war” with a “major power,” it could result in a significant cyberattack on the country, threatening Washington with a growing threat from Russia and China.

Cyber ​​security has risen to the top of the Biden administration’s agenda after a series of high-profile attacks on entities such as network management company SolarWinds, Colonial Pipeline Company, meat processing company JBS and software firm Kasya. Companies hacked. Some attacks affected fuel and food supplies in parts of the United States.

“I think it’s more than likely that we’re going to end up, if we end up in a war—a real shooting war with a major power—that’s going to result in a cyber breach of great consequence.” And it’s growing rapidly, capabilities,” Biden said during a half-hour speech visiting the office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).

During a June 16 summit in Geneva between Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Biden shared a list of critical infrastructure the US considers off-limits to nation-state actors.

The White House has said that since then, senior members of the Biden administration’s national security team have been in constant contact with senior members of the Kremlin regarding cyber attacks on the United States.

Biden also highlighted the threats posed by China, calling President Xi Jinping “to become the most powerful military force in the world as well as the world’s largest and most dominant economy by the mid-20s, 2040s”. referred to as “deadly earnest money”. ”

During his speech to about 120 ODNI employees and senior leadership officials, Biden also thanked members of US intelligence agencies, emphasizing their confidence in the work they do and saying he would not put political pressure on them. ODNI oversees 17 US intelligence organizations.
Joe Biden said,”I will never politicize the work you do. That’s my point,”This is very important for our country.”
