Puri: President Droupadi Murmu walked two km in Odisha’s Puri to reach Jagannath Temple. She offered prayers there. She is on her first two-day visit to her home state since taking office as President of India in July.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan went to the temple along with the President.

The Odisha government has decided to declare a half-day holiday for all government offices. Schools and colleges have been closed as well on the occasion of Murmu’s visit.
Security has been beefed up in Puri and Bhubaneswar regarding the president’s two-day tour of Odisha.
