Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended a warm invitation to tech enthusiasts, innovators, and stakeholders worldwide to join the upcoming Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit 2023. In a LinkedIn post, Modi emphasized the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across diverse sectors, including technology, innovation, healthcare, education, and agriculture.

The upcoming Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit, set to commence on December 12, is poised to be a captivating exploration of AI advancements and innovations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conveyed his confidence that participants will discover immense value in joining this dynamic platform dedicated to celebrating strides in AI and promoting global collaboration.

India’s DPI Initiative Exemplifies Remarkable Digital Progress


Highlighting India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) initiative as an exemplary effort, Modi emphasized the nation’s commitment to providing scalable, secure, affordable, sustainable, and replicable solutions globally.

Over the past decade, India has achieved remarkable progress through technology, leap-frogging in areas like mobile penetration, internet connectivity, and scalable models for digital inclusion. In the realm of AI, India is set to take a giant leap to empower its citizens, Modi stated.

The prime minister underscored the inclusive growth model of India, ensuring equitable development and innovation that leaves no one behind. He emphasized the productive applications of AI in serving citizens, making education personalized, enhancing healthcare accessibility, and informing agriculture.

Modi highlighted the significance of forums like GPAI, of which India is a co-founder. The GPAI, with 28 member countries and the EU, aims to guide the responsible development and use of AI. India, as the Lead Chair of GPAI, reaffirms its commitment to harnessing AI for the welfare of people globally, ensuring that nations in the Global South benefit from its advancements.

The upcoming GPAI Summit promises engaging sessions, including the AI Expo featuring 150 startups showcasing their strengths. Modi expressed India’s dedication to paving the way for a regulatory framework ensuring safe and trusted AI, fostering widespread and enduring implementation for the greater good.
