Prime Minister Modi Launches Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra for Inclusive Development

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ on Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas earlier this month, marking the commencement of a nationwide initiative aimed at raising awareness about the government’s welfare measures.

The Yatra, which began in Maharashtra’s Nanded, Uttarakhand’s Champawat, Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki, and other regions, serves as a comprehensive approach to development. It seeks to extend the benefits of government schemes to all sections of society, showcasing a dedicated effort towards inclusive development.

During the launch in Khunti, Jharkhand, the Prime Minister also flagged off Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) vans, initiating the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.’ These vans, making two stops each day at prominent locations, will facilitate health camps, Aadhar enrollment, and other essential services.

Initially focusing on districts with significant tribal populations, the Yatra aims to cover all districts nationwide by January 25 next year. Various ground activities, including Jan Bhagidari events such as beneficiary interactions, celebrations of Gram Panchayat achievements, on-the-spot quiz competitions, and health camps, will be integral components.

The overarching goal of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is to raise awareness and streamline the delivery of welfare scheme benefits, covering areas such as sanitation, financial services, electricity, and housing. Noteworthy schemes featured include Ayushman Bharat, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, and PM Awas Yojana, among others.
