New Delhi: Prime Video, India’s favorite platform for entertainment, has announced its first Hindi horror series ‘Adhura’ which will have its global premiere on 7th July. The series stars Rasika Duggal, Ishwak Singh, Shrenik Arora, Poojan Chhabra in special appearances, along with Rahul Dev, Zoa Morani, Rijul Ray, Sahil Salathia, Aru Krishnansh Verma, KC Shankar and Jaimini Pathak.

The series written by Ananya Banerjee is directed by Gaurav K. Chawla, and Ananya Banerjee. The series is produced by Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikhil Advani of Emmay Entertainment. The series has seven episodes and is going to premiere in India and 240 countries and territories across the world. Adhura is a new offering for Prime members. Prime membership members enjoy access to savings, services and entertainment. Prime membership is available for Rs 1499 per year.
‘Adhura’ delves into the deepest fears of its characters and the demons hidden within us, promising a gripping and suspenseful journey into the supernatural realm. It is based on the theme of remorse, repentance and revenge. The series’ story unfolds in two time periods, 2022 and 2007, when mysteries and horrors haunt the students and staff of a prestigious boarding school.
What starts out as nostalgia turns sinister during a boarding school reunion. It all starts with the encounter of Adhiraj Jaisingh (Ishwak Singh) and a troubled 10-year-old student, Vedant Malik (Shrenik Arora). As past and present collide, a deep secret threatens to emerge, linking Adhiraj to Vedant.

This familiar territory leads everyone into very shocking and scary situations. Supernatural horror is such a genre in which the artworks created are famous not only in India but all over the world. We are happy to reunite with Nikkhil Advani while creating a series like this. This type of series has never been made before by either Emmay Entertainment or Prime Video. We are sure that this Hindi horror series will be liked by the audience.

We have brought the horror story of boarding school in front of the audience in this series made in this genre. There is a lot of enthusiasm. Have you ever heard or narrated ghost stories from friends in dimly lit rooms? ‘Adhoora’ is one such story that we want to tell to the audience.
“We invite viewers to step inside the sinister corridors of a boarding school in the hills, where the past constantly haunts the present. Some mystery is hidden in the shadows here. The series forces viewers to ponder what is real and what is fiction, how much of it is your own fear and whether a sinister specter is following you. This question makes you sweat.
In this series, all the actors including Ishwak, Rasika, Shrenik, Poojan have brought the characters alive on screen exactly as they were written. We are very excited to bring him to the audience.”
