Priyanka Gandhi set to address eight rallies and roadshows to woo voters during her Himachal Pradesh poll campaign

Priyanka Gandhi is set to hold eight rallies in several places such as Mandi, Kullu, Kangra, Chamba, Hamirpur, Una, Shimla, and Sirmaur until November 10, said people close to the matter.

Shimla: Preparations are in full swing by political parties to woo the voters in the forthcoming assembly election in Himachal Pradesh. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has been fully prepared for rallies and roadshows in the poll-bound Himachal Pradesh. She is set to hold eight rallies in several places such as Mandi, Kullu, Kangra, Chamba, Hamirpur, Una, Shimla, and Sirmaur until November 10, said people close to the matter.

The itinerary for Priyanka has been revealed. On October 31, she will hold her rally in Mandi and Kullu. Her next assignment will be in Kangra and Chamba on November 3, and then the caravan of Priyanka will proceed to Hamirpur and Una on November 7. In the last leg of her programme, she will hold rallies and address the people in Shimla and Sirmaur.

The Congress doesn’t like to leave any stone unturned and hopes to unseat the BJP and grab power in Himachal Pradesh, where an assembly election is scheduled for November 12, while counting will take place on December 8. It is a daunting task for the Congress to topple the ruling BJP and grab power again.

Priyanka Gandhi commenced her election campaign in the state on October 14 and addressed a rally where she promised to impose the old pension scheme at the first cabinet meeting if Congress wins the election. She also promised to create 100,000 government job opportunities. Priyanka Gandhi lashed out at the BJP government and said it failed to lift the conditions of youth and women and had done nothing for employees.

The grand old party has so far revealed the names of 63 of the 68 candidates for the upcoming elections in the state.
