Bharat Jodo Yatra reached Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday. The Congress tour in this state of the Hindi heartland will last for 16 days. Congress yatra will cover 380km in 7 states of MP. From here the journey will go to Rajasthan. Assembly elections are to be held in both the states next year, so this visit is considered important for these states.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi said that we have started this journey against the atmosphere of fear in the country. All roads are closed before us. The road to election is closed. put pressure on the judicial system. So we decided to hit the road. We thought to hug the public, listen to the farmers, laborers and small traders and connect with them.
Rahul Gandhi said that we had not even thought that we would get so much power and love in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Rahul said that Kamal Nath just asked me, Rahul, are you not tired? Brothers and sisters, you look at my face, do you see my tired face? Gandhi said, “I am very happy today that we are taking our first step in Madhya Pradesh. We will have a lot of talks, will hug you a lot and will understand the problems of the farmers and people. The problem is slightly different in every state and in every district.”He further said, “Our government was formed in Madhya Pradesh but they have bought our 20-25 corrupt MLAs.”
“We started this journey from Kanyakumari. When we started, the people of the opposition said that India is 3,300 kilometres long and it cannot be done on foot but now we have come to Madhya Pradesh, we will walk about 370 kilometres here. This Yatra will reach Srinagar and our tricolour will be hoisted there, no one can stop it,” the Congress leader added.
