New Delhi: Even today, the proceedings of the Parliament seem to be going through uproar. Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm and Lok Sabha till 4 pm today, within minutes of the commencement of proceedings of both the Houses amidst protests by opposition MPs. Along with many issues, they were raising slogans regarding the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi.

For the last several days, the proceedings of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been witnessing uproar due to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s statement in London and many other issues. Meanwhile, politics has further heated up after Rahul Gandhi lost his membership of Parliament.

Mallikarjun Kharge spoke on Congress’s ‘Black Protest’
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said, “We have come to Parliament today in black clothes. We want to show the country that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is destroying democracy in the country one by one. The way Rahul Gandhi was expelled from the Lok Sabha All opposition parties are against him and are united.

Today they have come to Vijay Chowk to show the unity of the opposition. Injustice has been done to Rahul Gandhi. You file a case in Surat in Gujarat regarding what Rahul Gandhi had said in his election speech in Kolar. The incident took place in Kolar, Karnataka, but the case was registered in Surat, Gujarat, because you wanted a favorable judgement.

Black Protest of opposition parties
Earlier today, a major strategy meeting of opposition parties was held at Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge’s office, in which TMC was represented by Prasun Banerjee and Jawahar Sarkar. It is being told that in this meeting, the strategy of the opposition on the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi from the Parliament was discussed. Congress MPs wore black clothes to protest against Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification in this meeting.

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi, led by K Chandrasekhar Rao, the Congress rival in Telangana, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) also joined the “black cloth” protest.

It is the third week of the second half of the Parliament session and so far Parliament is witnessing a standoff as the Opposition demands a JPC on the Adani issue and the Treasury Benches demand an apology from Rahul Gandhi for his speech in London. in which it was alleged that he had defamed a foreign country on foreign soil. The ongoing second part of the budget session began on March 13 and will continue till April 6.
