Udaipur: A police constable was badly hurt in a fight that broke out between police and protesters in Bhim Town in Rajasthan’s Rajsamand district. The demonstration took place in response to the recent event in Udaipur where two men killed a tailor named Kanhaiya Lal.

While the police were attempting to contain the demonstrators, they became aggressive and attacked them with weapons and stones. Police officer Sandeep Chaudhary was severely hurt after being attacked with a sharp object.

Sandeep Chaudhary, a policeman with the Bhim police station, was sent for emergency care to a community hospital. Later, he was referred to Ajmer for better treatment.

The moment the information was aired, SDM Rahul Jain, City Station Officer Surender Singh Jodha, and others reached the spot.

Meanwhile, the condition of constable Sandeep Chaudhary is said to be critical. A large number of cops have been stationed at JLN Hospital.

Ajmer SP Vikas Sharma and District Collector Anshdeep have also reached the hospital.

The brawl took place due to the murder of a Hindu tailor in Rajasthan’s Udaipur on Tuesday. After that, he posted the video and mentioned avenging an insult to Islam. The victim posted a post in support of suspended Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Nupur Sharma.

However, the police detained the two accused in the Bheem area of Rajsamand district on Tuesday night. They were caught by cops while trying to flee.
