Protests erupt in Hyderabad after a BJP MLA Raja Singh released a video making derogatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad.
Hyderabad: Making derogatory remarks against the Prophet Mohammad is the best way to gain popularity. People all over the world have been making allegation after allegation since the time of the Prophet. But they got nothing except frustration.
The same story was repeated again in Hyderabad after a BJP MLA Raja Singh released a video making derogatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad. After that, people came out on the road and protested in front of city police commissioner CV Anand’s office and other parts of town.
Telangana BJP MLA Raja Singh was booked on Tuesday for insulting the Prophet through his remarks.
The protesters said Singh hurt the sentiments of the community and disrupted peace. They demanded his immediate arrest. The MLA was booked by the police for his remark.
Meanwhile, police took the protesters into custody at the commissioner’s office in Basheer Bagh and sent them to several police stations.
The BJP MLA unveiled a ‘comedy’ video against comedian Munawar Faruqui, who organised a show in Hyderabad last week despite protests. Earlier, the BJP MLA warned not to run Faruqui’s show and said he is ready to burn down the set at the venue.
Raja Singh said Munavar Faruqui hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus.
