The slain terrorist, Saifullah, was under the radar of Indian security officials for Pulwama terror attack, that killed 40 CRPF jawans. It is said that he had made the IED used in the attack. Lamboo also known as Adnan was not only affiliated with the terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), but was also the close associate of the founder of the terror outfit, Masood Azhar. Saifullah had infiltrated India in 2017 and was operational since then.

“He (Saifullah) was involved in a series of terror attacks, including the Pulwama attack of February 14, 2019, along with others. Adnan was a very strong associate of Pakistan-based top JeM hierarchy of Rauf Azhar, Maulana Masood Azhar and Ammar,” a news report quoted a senior official as saying.

Officials said that Saifullah was the operational commander of Jaish in South Kashmir. He was an expert in encrypted messaging applications, expert in IED-making and was mostly operating from Awantipora.

The J&K police spokesperson was quoted saying by media that Lamboo was among two terrorists killed during an encounter in Namibian and Marsar general area of Dachigam forest. Police and Army had cordoned off the area following inputs about the presence of terrorists.
