A woman was raped at knife point in Pune. In the information, it was found that the woman's husband had taken a loan of 40 thousand rupees from the accused. He was expressing his inability to return the loan, due to which the moneylender got angry and raped his wife in front of him.
Pune: A shocking case emerges from Pune where a man’s wife was raped in front of him for not being able to repay the loan. According to sources, the accused moneylender made a video of the incident and made it viral on social media. The police came to know about the incident on Wednesday. At present, he has arrested the accused and started investigating the matter. Police said that a case has been registered against the accused under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act.
40 Thousand was taken as loan, the incident happened in February
According to local media reports, an officer of Hadapsar police station said that the incident took place in February this year. The man had taken an interest-free loan of Rs 40,000 from accused Imtiaz H. Sheikh, but the couple was unable to repay the loan to Sheikh. After this, one day in February, the accused called both of them to Hadapsar Government Colony.
When they reached the spot, he again demanded the return of the money. On this, he reiterated the point of not having money. On hearing this, Sheikh was furious and allegedly took out a knife and started threatening to kill the person. After this, in front of him, he did wrong with his wife.
Video went viral for refusing to have a relationship again
According to local media reports, the accused later also demanded to have sex with the woman, but she refused. Enraged by this, the accused posted the obscene video on social media.
The accused is in remand for two days
Police Inspector Ravindra Shelake said that finally gathering courage, the victim reached the Hadapsar police station and lodged a complaint on Tuesday. He told news agency IANS, “We traced the accused and arrested him. He was produced in the court, which sent him to remand till Thursday.” The police is now trying to ascertain whether the accused had similarly trapped any other victim.
