Punjab Government’s Groundbreaking Initiative: Doorstep Delivery of Services Scheme Launch Tomorrow

Chandigarh, Punjab: In a significant move towards citizen-centric governance, AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann are set to launch the ‘Bhagwant Mann Sarkar Tuhade Dwar’ scheme on December 10. This initiative aims to revolutionize public service delivery by bringing 43 essential services directly to the doorsteps of the people.

Malwinder Singh Kang, Chief Spokesperson of AAP’s Punjab unit, revealed that the scheme encompasses a wide range of services, including birth, marriage, death, income, residence, caste certificates, as well as services related to rural areas, border areas, backward areas, pensions, electricity bill payments, and land demarcation.

With almost all government services covered under this scheme, except for arms licenses, Aadhaar cards, and stamp papers, the ‘Bhagwant Mann Sarkar Tuhade Dwar’ is set to simplify and expedite citizens’ access to crucial services.

Under the scheme, citizens can schedule appointments by dialing the helpline number ‘1076,’ offering them a hassle-free approach to getting their work done. Once an appointment is fixed, individuals will receive an SMS detailing the necessary documents and fees.

Specially trained staff will visit homes or offices at the scheduled time equipped with tablets to complete paperwork, collect fees, and provide receipts. This innovative approach allows citizens to track their applications and receive both soft and hard copies of their certificates, providing a seamless and efficient experience.

Mr. Kang highlighted the relief this scheme will bring to the common people of Punjab, eliminating the need to visit government offices and endure long queues. This initiative not only enhances accessibility to civic services but also liberates citizens from middlemen, marking a transformative step towards transparent and citizen-friendly governance.
