Chandigarh: The Punjab police are gearing up to quiz singers Babbu Maan and Mankirt Aulakh, who, incidentally, both received death threats from gangsters regarding the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case. A music director has also been summoned along with these two singers, concerning the murder case of the slain Punjabi singer.
Singers Babbu Maan and Mankirt Aulakh and music director Nishan Singh had some differences with Sidhu Moose Wala, who was murdered in May this year.
The matter came into force after the statement of Balkaur Singh, father of Sidhu Moosewala, that some singers and people belonging to the music industry were responsible for the demise of his son. He met with the Punjab DGP, Gaurav Yadav, recently and threatened to expose their names to the police.
Babbu Maan and Moose Wala had a soaring relationship as both tried to attack each other during their respective shows. However, Mankirt Aulakh, who got a death threat from a gangster group, washed his hands of his involvement in the Moose Wala murder through an Instagram post.
Canada-based Goldy Brar, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, had given the verdict that he was responsible for the murder of the Punjabi singer. A “red corner” notice was issued against him for allowing the detention of a fugitive living outside the country.
Bhagwant Mann, the Chief Minister of Punjab, recently claimed that Brar was arrested in California, USA. But in a video, Goldy Brar said he was not in the US and denied his arrest.
