Punjab: Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh will join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday.The final decision on this will be taken after the party meeting on Monday. According to the party’s spokesperson Pritpal Singh Baliawal, Singh is also likely to merge his party PLC with the BJP on September 19. It is being said that Captain Amarinder Singh will take the primary membership in the presence of National President JP Nadda at the BJP headquarters in Delhi.
Along with Captain, about 6 to 7 former MLAs of Punjab, son Ran Inder Singh, daughter Jai Inder Kaur, grandson Nirvan Singh will also join BJP. All the close and old associates of Captain Amarinder Singh have been asked by his daughter Jai Inder Kaur to reach Delhi on 19 September. Subscription can also be taken on the same day. Recently, Captain Amarinder Singh met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in North Block of Delhi. After this meeting, speculation about the merger of the party intensified.
