Patiala: Days after cake death controversy in Patiala city of Punjab, the health of a one-and-half-year-old girl reportedly deteriorated after eating expired chocolate in Ludhiana. As per the girl’s family, the girl vomited blood after eating the chocolate.
After the incident came into limelight, officials of the health department reached the shop and collected samples of chocolates and other items. As per officials, some items were found to be expired. While the probe is on in the case, the family has urged the authorities to seal the shop.
“The girl Rabia, along with her family members, had visited our house in Patiala from Ludhiana a few days ago. Before the family returned to Ludhiana, we gifted the girl a packet consisting of juice, chocolates, and other items. The girl ate chocolates after returning home. However, the health of the one and a half year old girl worsened,” Vicky, a relative of the girl narrated while speaking to the media.
Last month, a 10-year-old girl reportedly succumbs after eating cake on her birthday in Patiala. She reportedly died of food poisoning. As per the girl’s grandfather, the entire family fell ill after eating the cake, including the girl’s younger sister.
A video had also garnered millions in views recently showing the girl cutting the cake and celebrating her birthday along with near and dear ones. It was shot just a few hours before her death. As per her grandfather, the girl cut the cake at around 7 pm and fell sick close to 10 pm. While the whole family started feeling uneasy after eating the cake, the girl and her younger sister started vomiting.
