New Delhi: There is a political row regarding Electronic Voting Machine (EVM). After the Lok Sabha elections, once again questions are being raised regarding EVMs. Actually, this question arose when the world’s richest person Elon Musk raised the question. He made a shocking claim on Saturday. Musk said that EVMs can be hacked and should be eliminated. Along with this, he demanded the removal of EVMs from American elections.
EVMs in India are a "black box," and nobody is allowed to scrutinize them.

At the same time, now Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has also raised questions regarding this. Sharing a newspaper cutting, he wrote that EVMs in India are a “black box” and no one is allowed to check them. Serious concerns are being expressed about transparency in our electoral process. When institutions lack accountability, democracy becomes a sham and prone to fraud.

National President of Samajwadi Party and newly elected MP from Kannauj, Akhilesh Yadav wrote on his X post that ‘technology’ is meant to solve problems, if it becomes the cause of problems, then its use should be stopped.
