Some portions of the speech of Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi were removed from the proceedings. He has written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla regarding this. He has requested that the comments be restored.
Rahul Gandhi has written a letter to Speaker Om Birla and expressed surprise at the removal of part of his speech from the record. He has also been accused of discrimination. Rahul Gandhi said that he said all the things as per the rules, yet his part was removed whereas the part of Anurag Thakur’s speech was not removed.
"I am writing this in the context of remarks and portions expunged from my speech during discussion on Motion of Thanks on the President Address on 1 July 2024."

He wrote, In this context I would also like to draw attention to the speech of Anurag Thakur, whose speech was full of allegations, but surprisingly only one word has been removed! With all due respect to you, selectively removing words like this defies logic.
