New Delhi: The temperature of Delhi has dipped, and in this shivering cold, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was spotted wearing a white t-shirt on Wednesday, Congress party’s Foundation Day.
A video of Rahul Gandhi in which he was joking with a reporter about his winter garments surfaced on social media; the reporter asked him, “Again in the same t-shirt today?” then Rahul Gandhi replies, “T-shirt hi chal rahi hai, aur jab tak chal rahi hai chalyenge” (continuing with the T-shirt, so I’ll continue with it).
Rahul Gandhi hit the headlines last week after wearing a plain white t-shirt (half sleeves) during a Saturday visit to Mahatma Gandhi’s samadhi and those of former prime ministers Jawaharlal Nehru, Rajiv Gandhi, and others. The freezing temperature has no effect on Rahul; people are talking about what the secret is behind this.
Currently, the mercury in Delhi has dipped due to the first cold wave of the season. When asked, “Don’t you feel cold?” Gandhi replied, “They are asking me about the cold, but they don’t ask the same question to the farmers, the workers, and the poor children.”
‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, the party’s mega outreach programme has been taking place. The purpose behind the march is to make the people aware of the weaknesses of the present government. The yatra arrived in Delhi last week from different states, including poll-bound Karnataka and Rajasthan. The yatra is currently on hiatus and will resume on January 3rd, en route to reach Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar.
