Rahul Gandhi issued a message to Indian citizens on Friday, warning of a "palpable economic crisis" developing in the nation.
New Delhi: As the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi nears its conclusion in Kashmir, the senior party leader issued a message to Indian citizens on Friday, warning of a “palpable economic crisis” developing in the nation under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government.
There is a clear economic crisis developing, characterised by youth unemployment, uncontrollable price increases, significant farm distress, and a total corporate takeover of the nation’s wealth. People’s earnings are decreasing, they are concerned about losing their jobs, and their hopes for a better future are fading. Gandhi warned in the letter that there is a deep sense of hopelessness throughout the nation.
The former Congress president issued a warning over an alleged attack on the nation’s plurality and diversity.
Rahul further added that some forces want to divide the nation on religious, communal, and regional lines. These forces are small in number. “But after this yatra, I am convinced that this vicious agenda has its limits and cannot go on any longer,” he says in the letter.
He once again reminded everyone of his promise to bring economic prosperity to the country through the right price for farmers’ produce, creating jobs for unemployed youth, a fair distribution of wealth in the country, and making the rupee stronger. making availability of diesel at cheap price, an enabling environment for MSMEs and entrepreneurs, and make available of a gas cylinder for ₹500.
Gandhi praised the new upcoming slogan of the Congress, “Haath Se Haath Jodo,” that will spread the message of unity and brotherhood all over the country.
