According to the information, Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra will leave from Hanuman Mandir (Marghat Wale Baba) located near Red Fort at around 10 am on Tuesday and will continue via Iron Bridge, Shastri Park Metro Station, Furniture Market, Dharampura and Ansari Road at around 12 noon. Loni will reach the border at 10:00. Here the flag of the yatra will be handed over to the UP Congress. The next day on January 4, it will leave from Baghpat for Shamli. After this, the yatra will start from Shamli at 6 am on January 5 and reach Panipat in Haryana at 6:30 pm.
Ghaziabad police on Monday said that they have made arrangements for the rally and there will be sufficient deployment of personnel, adding that traffic diversions will be in place to ensure a smooth flow of people participating in the yatra.
As part of the arrangements, Ghaziabad police said that they will deploy about 1,500 personnel, while police personnel will also be posted at the high-rise buildings to keep a check on troublemakers.
“Apart from the personnel, we have also roped in drones for better surveillance of sensitive areas along the route of the yatra. The distance of the yatra in Ghaziabad will be about 18 kilometres and about one-third of it will be afoot and rest in vehicles,” said Iraj Raja, deputy commissioner of police, Ghaziabad (rural).

According to sources, the former Congress president has entrusted sister and AICC national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra with the responsibility of leading the countrywide ‘Hath se Hath Jodo’ campaign with a special focus on women.
