Railway’s big decision in view of violent protests against ‘Agnipath’, all trains going through Patna canceled

New Delhi: In the breaking development, in view of the protests happening across the country, the Railways has taken a big decision. There have been reports of burning of many trains and buses from Bihar throughout the day. Meanwhile, the Railways has canceled all trains passing through Patna Junction. Let us tell you that this protest is happening against the Agnipath scheme for recruitment in the army. Due to this scheme, there is anger among the youth of all the states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi.

So far, the operation of more than 300 trains has been affected due to the protest against the Agneepath scheme. Railways said that 35 trains were canceled since the start of the protest on Wednesday, while 13 were terminated ahead of time. The biggest impact of this protest has been on the East Central Railway, under which many parts of Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh come. Demonstrations on a large scale have been seen in these states. In such a situation, East Central Railway has also decided to monitor the operation of 8 trains due to the performance. Officials said that they are monitoring the movement of these trains and will take a decision regarding their operation according to the situation.

It is worth noting that the cost of making a bogie ranges from Rs 80 lakh to Rs 3.5 crore. Apart from this, two types of engines work in the country to run them. First – diesel and second electric. It costs 15 crores to 20 crores to make it. In such a situation, the trains that the youth of the country are burning are making a big difference not only to the government but also to the rail traffic.

So far more than 300 trains have been affected due to this ongoing protest against the Agneepath scheme. About 100 trains have been canceled as well as 13 have been terminated at a short distance.
