Bangalore: Due to heavy rain in Karnataka, life has become disturbed. Due to torrential rains overnight in Bangalore, many areas were flooded on Monday i.e. today. In such a situation, the employees here had to face many problems in going to the office. Heavy rain in Bengaluru compels traffic to crawl on major roads, floods housing societies. In such a situation, he had to go to the office with the help of a tractor.

Local people have to struggle for movement amid heavy rains in the state. In Yamlur area of ​​Bangalore, people reached their offices with the help of tractors. Many people were waiting for the tractor to drop them off the office for Rs 50. In fact, many areas were flooded due to rain and boats and tractors had to be deployed for relief work.

Many schools and educational institutes have shifted to online classes. Bangalore schools will remain closed on Tuesday for offline classes as the city continues to witness heavy rains.

The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has warned of water supply disruption in several areas of the city for today and tomorrow.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will be visiting the TK Halli unit of Bengaluru Water Board in Mandya district that will manage the drinking water supply to Bengaluru city due to the rushing of water into the unit following heavy rain on Sunday night.

In some areas, including Rambo Drive Layout and Sunny Brooks Layout on Sarjapur Road, there is such a water-logging situation that boats and tractors had to be used to evacuate students and office-goers in the morning. The work of many IT companies has also been affected due to rains and floods.

“BWSSB Chairman, engineers, and secretary of the urban development department are already sent to the unit. The officials of the Mandya district are busy in draining out water from the pumping station. The situation is expected to come under control by evening. The technical team is working on the emergency mode to restart the machinery. I will visit and give necessary instructions,” Mr Bommai told sources.

At the same time, people say that the government will not do anything until the IT companies move out of the city. Unless their revenue is affected.

Flights Delayed Due to Heavy Rains at Bengaluru Airport
Bengaluru airport spokesperson said that flights have been slightly delayed on Tuesday after heavy rains and due to bad weather conditions.
