New Delhi: A coaching girl student preparing for NEET committed suicide by hanging herself in room of the hostel. She was 16-year-old. A resident of Ranchi Jharkhand was preparing for NEET.
According to the information, This is reportedly the 25th case of suicide in past eight months. Body has been kept in mortuary and police is investigating the matter.
The student hailing from Ranchi was currently staying in Blaze Hostel in the city. He hanged himself and the body has been kept in the mortuary. On August 27, Raj (18), a native of Rohtas in Bihar, and a 17-year-old boy, a native of Ahmed Nagar in Latur district of Maharashtra, died by suicide.
The 17-year-old student committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of his coaching institute building in Jawahar Nagar at around 3.15 pm, minutes after leaving a room on the third floor of the institute after giving an examination, police said. About four hours after his death, Raj, who was also preparing for competitive exams, hanged himself in his rented flat under Kunhadi police station area at around 7 pm.
More than 2.5 lakh students visit Kota annually to prepare for competitive exams like the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for engineering and the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to medical colleges.
