Rajasthan: 300 people fall sick after eating food at religious function

The incident took place in Pakhar Chowdaki village under Mandawar police station area of ​​Dausa at around 9 pm on Thursday night.

People participating in the religious program consumed the contaminated food, after which they complained of vomiting and abdominal pain.

According to the information, Mahendra Bairwa, a resident of Pakhar village, recently got a government job as a teacher in Delhi. That’s why he organized a religious program of Savamani in the village on Thursday.

A group of villagers were invited for a feast, but shortly after, he vomited, complaining of stomach pain. He was then taken to the hospital in private vehicles and ambulances.

On receiving information about consuming contaminated food, Dr. Subhash Bilonia, CMHO of Dausa also reached Mahuva Hospital, and inquired about the health of the sick people.

For the treatment of sick people, the medical department team also reached the spot and sent samples of food including laddoos, puris, vegetables and pulses for examination.

Mahuva MLA Omprakash Hudla also reached Mahuva and Mandawar hospitals to know about the condition of the patients. At present, the health of most of the sick people is said to be improving.
