Jaipur: An early hours of Sunday, Five policemen were dead as their vehicle rammed into a parked truck in Churu district of Rajasthan. Two others were injured in this incident.
According to Churu District Superintendent of Police Praveen Nayak, the policemen’s vehicle collided with a truck standing on the road in Sujangarh Sadar police station area. The policemen were going to Taranagar to attend an election meeting.
The policemen have been identified as ASI Ramchandra of Khinvsar police station, constables Kumbharam, Suresh Meena, Thanaram and Mahendra. At the same time, the injured people in this accident are being treated in the hospital. According to information,
the accident happened at 6:30 am on Sunday morning. The accident happened near Kanuta village on the Churu-Nagaur border.
According to the information, at this time the policemen from Nagaur were going to PM Narendra Modi’s meeting in Churu. Here he was put on duty under the VIP protocol. After the incident, the police have registered a case in this matter and are investigating the matter.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed grief over the accident. He wrote on ‘X’, ‘This morning we received the sad news of the death of a policeman in a vehicle accident from Sujangarh Sadar area of Churu. Our deepest condolences to the families of all the policemen who lost their lives in this accident. I wish for speedy recovery of the injured. The deceased include SI Ramachandra, Constable Kumbharam, Sukhram, Thanaram, Head Constable Sukharam.”
