New Delhi: A major accident took place on Monday in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, in which eight people died after a tractor trolley full of devotees fell into a ditch. At the same time, more than two dozen people have also been injured, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. According to information, a tractor trolley filled with devotees returning from a temple suddenly fell into a deep gorge.
Eight people have died in the accident in Udaipurwati area of the district, while more than two dozen people have been injured. It has been told that all these people were returning after visiting the Mansa Mata temple. Meanwhile, immediately after the accident, District Magistrate Dr. Khushal Yadav and SP Mridul Kachhwa reached the spot and admitted the injured to the hospital.
According to the information, some of the injured in the accident have been referred to Jhunjhunu. While some have been taken to Sikar. The condition of many of the injured is said to be serious. Mansa Mata Temple is a famous temple in Udaipurwati area of Jhunjhunu, where thousands of people go to worship every year.
Police said a religious program was going on at the Mansa Mata temple. The accident happened while returning from there. Perhaps the driver lost control of the tractor trailer, following which it hit a pole and fell into a ditch. On getting information about the accident, State Minister Rajendra Singh Gudha also reached CHC Udaipurvati and inquired about the matter from the officials and local people.
